Whenever there's a news story about a successful challenge against chemical companies I light a candle and smile in recognition of all the people - and they'll be thousands who helped make a case - in this instance against the impact of toxic chemical drift. To the people who repeatedly told the story, made phone calls, donated money, sent emails and all the rest, these cases go on and on and yet when will these companies finally fall? Well done to everyone who did their bit.
What a delightful morning at Dungog Library, talking climate change, agriculture amongst other things. Big thanks to Tracy and Amanda for organising the day and for cooking up homemade delicious things. Great meeting new locals like Dan and Verity who run a Wangat lodge. Thanks to everyone who came...Dungog is special and now surrounded by greenery - water everywhere and Chichester Dam is full! Lucky Lower Hunter - now for our turn please..... yes we are green, bees are happy but the river still needs help.
